These days, in Frankfurt, Germany, around seven dozen Portuguese home textile companies are looking for new business at Heimtextil, which is the world's largest fair in the sector. A shop window where some of them display a green asset called Cloud Dyeing, the name for the new dyeing technology in home textiles, developed by Trofense LTdye.

LTDYE ADVANCES WITH INNOVATIVE DYEING, ALMOST WATERLESS

Focused on dyeing in finished garments, LTdye is preparing to take a substantial step forward on the path of sustainability, with an innovative dyeing process that drastically reduces the consumption of water, energy and chemical products. Called Cloud Dyeing, the new process also makes it possible to  a 100% reuse of water from industrial effluents.
It is “an innovative and revolutionary dyeing process that is being developed in the company, which dyes almost without water since it represents a 70% reduction in water consumption, but also a 40% reduction in energy, and 25% on chemical products”, explains Luís Sampaio, company administrator.
With the novelty already reflected in pieces from most of the Portuguese companies that will be at the next Heimtextil, LTdye will also show at the Frankfurt fair, from the 10th to the 13th of January, a video in which this new technology will be made known. (...)
